About Me

Shelbi Sellers is an actress, singer, dancer, and choreographer from Memphis, Tennessee. She holds a Bachelor and Master of Music with a minor in theatre from the University of Memphis.  She enjoys being a singer of many styles including opera, cabaret, art song, jazz, and musical theatre. She often performs as a guest artist with the University of Memphis Southern Comfort Jazz Orchestra. She recently placed first in the south eastern regional NATS competition in both Advanced Classical and Advanced Musical Theater. As a choreographer, she has worked on many high-energy movement pieces such as Gershwin’s Crazy for You while also choreographing for the singer in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Ruddigore. On the stage, Shelbi has performed Le nozze di Figaro, Ruddigore, Oklahoma! (University of Memphis), La Calisto (Opera Memphis), Mamma Mia!, A Tribute to Sondheim (Theatre Memphis), Head Over Heels, Something Rotten!, Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 (regional premiere at Playhouse on the Square), and more.
